UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA BERKELEY
1985-1990

Courses in machine design.

Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering
SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY
1981-1984

Courses in machine design, material science and vibration analysis. Co-director of tribology laboratory. Research in Hertzian substance fatigue and polishing wear.

Staff Engineer
WESTERN GEAR CORPORATION
1975-1976

Directed a program of research and development for carburized and ground gearing; designed a computer program for specifying tooth modifications for heavily loaded gears. Established procedures for analyzing the dynamics response and stability of rotor/bearing systems; and implemented finite element analyses of stresses and deflection for seismic qualification of gearboxes and lubrication systems.
