Responsibilities
include the designs of new mine hoist control systems, modifications
and upgrading of existing systems as feasibility dictates. Prepare
specifications, schematic drawings and PLC programs for same,
then perform functional tests in the shop, and commissioning tests
in the field. This includes AC Wound Rotor Motor drives and both
Thyristor Armature Supply and Ward-Leonard drives for DC machines.
Carry out inspection of existing installed hoists for proper performance
and maintenance practices. Inspect used hoists suitability for
re-application. Prepare specifications for new hoists drives,
and for refurbishing of older machines and controls. Perform refurbish
shop monitoring to ensure satisfactory results.

in several different locations.
