Curriculum Vitae
Professor Jean-Jacques Simond, Ph.D.

Principal Scientist
POWER ENGINEERING
Irvine, California
1999 to Present

Expert in testing and analysis of large synchronous electrical machines used in electric power generation applications. Extensive experimental and theoretical research in electromagnetics and electrical machine theory. Developed world class computer modeling program for analysis of synchronous electrical machines. Provides superior insight into diagnosis and performance improvement of generators and motors. Prof. Simond has participated in the development of some of the largest hydroelectric generators in the World, such as Itaip, Three Gorges, and Grand Coulee.
