PE employs
a suite of field transportable, state of the art, vibration test
instrumentation to measure and record vibration waveforms. Post
processing allows easy analysis of transient data in the form of
Bode and Nyquist plots, as well as spectral and orbit plots for
steady state data. Vibration is routinely measured with a host of
transducers as appropriate, including accelerometers, seismic transducers,
proximity probes, strain gages, and piezometers. PE has extensive
experience in both the theoretical aspects of vibration analysis
and the practical considerations of proper transducer mounting,
instrument grounding & shielding, etc. required to produce valid
data for subsequent analysis.
